Create art inspired by the beauty of Yosemite. If you’ve always wanted to paint Half Dome, capture wildflowers on paper, or learn a new, creative way of looking at the wonders around you,Yosemite’s art workshops are waiting for you. Artists of all levels discover and develop their skills, as they create permanent mementos of fun-filled days in the park.
With the Yosemite Valley as your inspiration, you can nurture the artist within you — with a little help from acclaimed artists and artisans in art workshops run by Yosemite Conservancy. With your support, Yosemite Conservancy is in the park year-round, providing visitors with unique theater and art opportunities, and funding work in trail restoration, wildlife protection and youth programs.
Classes are offered daily, April through October. Each week, Monday through Saturday, a guest artist teaches classes in his or her specialty. Workshops meet at the Yosemite Art Center, and create art outdoors, inspired by the scenery (weather permitting). Workshop registration is $10 per student per day. Bring your own supplies or arrive early to purchase them at the Yosemite Art Center. Other workshops offered include: Beginner Art Workshops, Family Crafts Programs, and Children’s Art Programs. See the full schedule for details.
All ages are welcome. Weekday workshops are recommended for children age 8 and up.
