The first cabin at Tahoma Lodge was built in 1948. The 2.5 acre site is now home to more than 10 cabins and has been operating on the west shore of Lake Tahoe for more than 70 years. The Tahoma Lodge has been owned and operated by the Williams family since 1977, and is an ideal get away for those looking to experience Lake Tahoe's natural beauty. Hiking, kayaking, fishing, cross country and downhill skiing are all within a mile or two in each direction. The lodge is located .5 miles from Sugar Pine Point State Park and 1.5 miles from Homewood Ski Resort. Locally or Family Owned Business Notes
The Tahoma Lodge has been owned and operated by the Williams family since 1977. Boyce and Kay Williams moved to Tahoe from Tucson after having lived in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. Kay grew up in Colorado and Boyce in Washing DC and Indiana. Both conclude that Tahoe has been an ideal place to live and to bring up their two, now grown, sons.
