Located at the historic community of Old Station, Rim Rock Ranch Resort offers a variety of lodging options near the banks of Hat Creek. Cabins were built in the 30's and 40's with fishermen and hunters in mind, but anyone enjoying the abundant recreational opportunities in the area will appreciate the convenience and charm of a good night's stay at Rim Rock Ranch.
Guests can choose to stay in a cozy cabin or more motel-like lodging on the grounds, and there are a couple of log cabins for groups. A country store on the premises is stocked to the brim with anything you'll need for your outdoor adventures, including your fishing license.
Old Station was originally called Hat Creek Station and has been a landmark at the junction of two well-traveled highways. The California Stage Company established the site in the 1850s, but when the U.S. troops that were stationed there pulled out a few years later, it became known as 'Old Station.' Historical markers on the Rim Rock Ranch property offer more details about the site's history.
