The cabin is located adjacent to the Quaking Aspen Campground, at approximately 7,200 feet. The cabin offers visitors the chance to escape from the stresses of everyday life, and enjoy the great outdoors. There is a porch and a fire ring for those cool evenings so remember to bring marshmallows, a camera, binoculars and a telescope for all of you star gazers out there. Don't forget the jacket and bug spray.
The cabin, which was originally built to house Forest Service fire personnel, has all the comforts of home. Amenities include electricity, a fully equipped kitchen, running water, and a bathroom that features a flush toilet and a tub-shower. This cabin is located at the entrance of Quaking Aspen campground so family and friends can come along too.
Nearby points of interest include the Needles Fire Lookout, Dome Rock, the Trail of 100 Giants, the Freeman Creek Trail, and the Slate Mountain Botanical Area. Fishing is available in nearby Peppermint Creek. Other nearby activities include horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking and hunting.
Driving Directions
Hwy 99 to Hwy 65 towards Porterville. Take the Hwy 190 east towards Springville. Continue on the 190 to Quaking Aspen.
