Plumas Corporation

Organization
Red Clover Valley is just one of the many watershed projects Plumas Corporation has supported on behalf of the Feather River Coordinated Resource Management group. – Kara Rockett-Arsenault

A local non-profit organization, Plumas Corporation's mission is to promote good land stewardship through restoration activities for resilient watersheds and communities.

For twenty-eight years, Plumas Corporation has served as the fiscal sponsor and implementing partner for the Feather River Coordinated Resource Management (FRCRM) group. The FRCRM consisted of 24 federal, state, local and private partners whose purpose was to protect, maintain, and enhance ecosystems and community stability in the Feather River Watershed through collaborative landowner participation.

Accomplishments

Since 1985, Plumas Corporation on behalf of the Feather River Coordinated Resource Management group has implemented a total of 122 watershed projects, ranging from assessments and restoration to planning and education.

Seventy-two projects have been on-the-ground constructed restoration projects, treating 51 miles of stream and restoring 4,400 acres of riparian/meadow habitat within the Upper Feather River Watershed.
