Placer Nature Center
ADA Accessibility Notes
All facilities are wheel-chair accessible including the Sierra Interpretive Trail.
Placer Nature Center offers activities and classes in wildlife, astronomy, reptiles, gardening, art, insects, ecology, watershed, natural & cultural history and much more for people of all ages.
Through environmental education, Placer Nature Center awakens a sense of curiosity, discovery and wonder about the world in which we live. Placer Nature Center helps us understand that our daily choices impact our ecological, social and economic well-being. This is essential because a healthy world means the world to us!
Eco-Friendly Notes
The Center was raised by community volunteers out of an old farming complex. The majority of materials were salvaged. Placer Nature Center continues to first consider its impact before each new project and in day-to-day operations.
Pet Friendly Notes
Please no dogs as it scares away the wildlife we teach about.
