The Mammoth Food & Wine Experience is a destination event taking place in the Eastern Sierra in the town of Mammoth Lakes. It attracts consumers of fine food & wine and supporters of Education and the Arts in the Eastern Sierra. It provides attendees the opportunity to taste and learn about fine food and wine with the scenic vistas of the region as their backdrop.

The event began its life in 2011 as a major source of fundraising for the Mammoth Lakes Foundation and the Mammoth Schools NOW Education Foundation, both supporting education and the arts in Mammoth Lakes, from grades K-14. The Mammoth Food & Wine Experience has shown itself to be an outstanding summer event that provides exposure to the beauties and opportunities available within the region outside the winter months to more and more people based on growth year over year.

Event Activities:

• Thirty (30) exceptional wineries pouring over 120 wines from the best wine regions.
• Informative food and wine seminars led by respected vintners and chefs.
• Wine tastings and private wine dinners hosted at restaurants

• A Friday evening Wine Walk in the Village at Mammoth

• Tantalizing live and silent auctions.
• Entertainment by Chamber Music Unbound
• And most importantly, the cooking competition where teams of students from Culinary schools compete for the “People’s Choice” Award won two years in a row by a team of culinary students from Bakersfield College.

Details about the ticketing and event costs for this year's experience will be available on the website in the next two months. About the Mammoth Lakes Foundation: The Mammoth Lakes Foundation was founded in 1989 by Dave McCoy former owner of Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. The Foundation benefits the lives of students, locals and visitors as the sole non-profit organization supporting higher education and cultural enrichment in the Eastern Sierra. The Foundation is an advocate for education, land acquisition and facility development; owns and operates the Edison Theatre and South Gateway Student Apartments. It has provided over 350 college scholarships to local students since 1990. Future plans include a combination culinary school, art and cultural center on the Mammoth college campus.
