Leavitt Falls Vista Point
ADA Accessibility Notes
With assistance is ADA accessible.
Leavitt Falls drops a spectacular 300 ft. along Leavitt Creek through a steep canyon in three major tiers. The vista viewpoint provides a wonderful overall view of the waterfall, though it is very difficult to get a picture of the entire length of the falls. The bottom drop of 100 ft. or so is the most impressive section of the waterfall, and the most photographed. For photographing, we recommend arriving before noon, or early in the morning.
Leavitt Falls is 6.0 miles east of the Sonora Pass summit. Direction from the east: At the junction of Hwy 395 and Hwy 108 (about 14 miles south of Walker), turn west onto Hwy 108. Drive 8.8 miles to the signed Leavitt Falls Vista point on the left (south). Picnic tables, parking and vault toilet are located on-site.
