Ironstone Heritage Museum houses the world's largest Crystalline Leaf Gold Specimen, discovered by the Sonora Mining Company in 1992. Weighing in at 44 lbs of gold, this piece is worth a visit. Joining the Crystalline Leaf Gold is "Woodie's Wonder", an 11.2 oz Gold nugget discovered in Woods Creek of Columbia, California, in 2016, just across the river from Ironstone. You will also find an extensive collection of rocks, mineral specimens and fossils along with artifacts from the Mining Era.

Pet Friendly Notes

Service dogs under control and on a lease at all times are permitted into Museum. They must be people and dog tolerant. Museum reserves the right to request unruly, mean or disruptive dogs to remain outside.
