ADA Accessibility Notes

Eagle Ridge offers a UTV, which is ADA accessible. The rider is securely harnessed, while the guide drives at a leisurely pace. Guests will need to wear a helmet for safety. The RZR is ideal for those with a variety of disabilities, and for those who do not wish to drive a snowmobile themselves yet wish to join in a great family adventure.

Eagle Ridge is a locally-owned company that offers winter travelers the chance to go snowmobiling along 200 miles of groomed trails on 650 square miles in the Tahoe National Forest. Located between Truckee and Sierraville, this majestic region includes several alpine lakes such as Independence Lake, Jackson Reservoir, Weber Lake, Meadow Lake, Lake of the Woods, and many other small lake, as well as meadows of untracked snow, waterfalls, open wide trails, vistas of the Sierra Buttes and Sierra Nevada Mountain range.

Riders on 4-stroke eco-friendly snowmobiles will also visit the largest alpine meadow in the western United States at Little Truckee Summit in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California, and will learn about the pioneer history of the area and ride to historical landmarks that shaped the area such as Weber Hotel, and Henness Pass Road which is part of the emigrant trail.

The guided snowmobile routes travel the Henness Pass/California Trail which was the route of the largest migration known in the United States. Following the Donner Party disaster of 1846, this pass facilitated the westward movement during the Comstock era which facilitated the westward movement and Gold Rush which brought the era of the 49ers.

The staging area is at Little Truckee Summit OHV parking lot — from Truckee, go 14 miles north on Hwy 89, turn off to Jackson Meadows Reservoir, Webber Lake and Independence Lake.
