Driving Directions

We are located at 16525 Bucks Lake Road in Quincy, CA.

Take Highway 70 from Oroville, through the Feather River Canyon (a beautiful scenic drive) through Quincy, CA. Turn right on Bucks Lake Road, 16 miles to Bucks Lake Road.

Take 395 from Reno, take Highway 70 to Quincy, drive through Quincy, turn left on Crescent, right on Bucks Lake Road, 16 miles to the lake.

Everything at Bucks Lake Lodge is informal and uncomplicated, from the manner of dress to our various facilities. Bucks Lake Lodge in Quincy, CA has a western themed bar, fine dinning restaurant, and a gift shop. We also have 11 rustic cabins, and a roomy 12 room motel.

We are located in the Plumas National Forest, on USDA leased land. We are about three hundred yards from the beautiful Bucks Lake.

Lodging Style and Amenities

The Lodge has a friendly and welcoming environment for the entire family, and of course, we are handicap accessible. We have fun activities planned for all ages. Live bands, games, and a variety of events all year.

The Timberline Inn has 12 large rooms with 1 or 2 queen beds, bathroom with tub and showers. We are handicapped accessible.

Our cabins have been around for over 60 years. They are old and rustic, but with the charm of the past. All of our cabins have indoor plumbing, kitchens, and wooden decks. All the cabins have porches on them with chairs to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Pet Friendly Notes

Our cabins are dog friendly, but please bring your leash, and never leave them alone in the cabin.

Recreational Opportunities

Bucks Lake is a beautiful lake which has 17 miles of shoreline and you are still permitted to run two cycle engines here. On Bucks Lake you may water-ski, fish, swim, or jet ski. The Marina rents different types of boats and jet skis. Bucks is a trout lake with Rainbows, browns, Brookies, Kokanee, and Mackinaws. The record is a 30 lb. Mackinaw! Come join us and try and break the record. Sorry folks, no bass or catfish.

Winter offers miles of famous snowmobile trails, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Summer offers hiking on unlimited mountain trails, including parts of the Pacific Crest Trail, biking, fishing, boating, water skiing, kayaking, and canoeing. The lodge rents all types of boats and water skiing equipment. Bird watching includes bald eagles, osprey, and a wide variety of small birds and water foul.
