The 46th annual Almanor Art Show takes place Saturday & Sunday, August 1st & 2nd on the beautiful Collins Pine Lawn right on highway 36 in Chester, California. Show hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Admission to the event is free so that you can save your pocketbooks to support the vendors.

Ongoing since 1969, this is Plumas County's oldest and one of the best exhibitions of fine arts and crafts in several counties. Artists from near and far grace the show with their original paintings, drawings, photographs, jewelry, pottery, furniture, sculptures, wood, metal, fabric and whimsical art in a full range of prices.

The location on the cool, green Collins Pine Lawn and the surroundings of Lake Almanor in Chester offers a beautiful setting to enjoy and explore. Food vendors will provide a tasty food options—Thai, Chinese, Mexican, and Kettle corn or arrange a lunch at one of Chester's eating establishments.

As an added attraction from noon to 4pm each day, Ken Cawley & Friends will bring a mix of musical styles for your listening pleasure under the shade of centuries old trees… bluegrass to folk, even jazz standards and a few surprises played on dobro, guitar, fiddle and bass.

Plumas Arts has coordinated the Almanor Arts Show since 1983. Plumas Arts is our region's most active nonprofit cultural programming agency. We provide art education in our schools, support local artists and performers, manage a gallery exclusively featuring the work of regional artists, host numerous concerts and events, and run the only movie theatre (that doubles as a live performance venue that hosts local and international performing artists) in a 70 mile radius.

We recently renovated a historic bar into our new home-- an arts center, gallery and gift shop featuring a variety of work Made in Plumas County. Event proceeds support art education and cultural programs throughout Plumas County. For more information about this event or Plumas Arts call the office at 283-3402 or email.
