3rd Annual Courage Triathlon
Welcome to the Second Annual Courage Worldwide Triathlon!
Courage Triathlon is a benefit for Courage House – homes for children rescued from human trafficking.
Courage Triathlon is a part of our 2016 COURAGE RUN Series, a division of Courage Worldwide.
The Courage Triathlon, at Lake Almanor, consists of three legs:
2.8 mile run
7.1 mile bike**
4.1 mile kayak**
One person can complete all three legs or you can sign up as a three person team and each complete on leg of the triathlon.
This all takes place on the west side of Lake Almanor. Lake Almanor is the largest reservoir in Plumas County, with 52 miles of shoreline. The dam was first completed in 1914 by Great Western Power.
The lake is a popular recreation area for boating, water skiing, jet skis, swimming and some wonderful fishing. Boat rentals and fishing guides are available on Lake Almanor.
There are many Forest Service and PG&E campgrounds near Lake Almanor. The area also has motels, B&B's and vacation rentals.
So for all of you who like to compete and get out in the great outdoors- this is an event for you! It supports a great cause.
Our amazing law enforcement partners are challenging different agencies (regardless of location or jurisdiction) to join in a friendly competition for this race! If you would like to sign up a team (or teams) from your agency, please type your agency name as you would like it to be listed on your race bib at the end of registration.
